Connect Shopify for order lookups.

Noctiv can answer "Where is my order?" from your live Shopify data. It only reads. It never changes anything in your store.

How to get the app today

The public Noctiv app is waiting for Shopify's App Store review, so it is not installable from the App Store yet. Until it is, we set up a store-specific app for each new merchant: it works on your store only, needs no review, and asks for the same single permission. Write to contact@noctiv.io with your store address (yourshop.myshopify.com) and we send you the install link, usually the same day.

Once the public app is listed you will be able to install it from the App Store, and Shopify will bill the subscription. A store-specific app is billed by us in the normal way instead. Either way the price is the same: $79 a month, after the 7-day free trial.

Connect (on your phone is fine)

  1. Open the install link we sent you, or Integrations in Noctiv and tap Connect Shopify.
  2. Shopify asks you to approve one permission: read orders. Tap Install.
  3. You come back to Noctiv. Sign in and confirm which business the store belongs to.
  4. Tap Test connection. It should say it can read your orders.

What Noctiv reads

Order number, date, payment and delivery status, carrier, tracking number and link, expected delivery and the names of the shipped items. Never payment details or full addresses.

The permission is read_orders and nothing else. Noctiv has no permission to write to your store, and it refuses a connection that would give it one — so it cannot change, cancel, refund or fulfil anything, even by mistake.

When it answers and when it hands over to you

Noctiv answers only when the sender's e-mail matches the e-mail on the order. If it does not match, nothing about the order is revealed and the customer is asked for the order number and checkout e-mail. It hands over to you when the order is not found, cancelled, refunded, partly shipped, shipped without tracking, shipped more than the number of days you set in Settings (default 14), when the customer asks for a refund, return or address change, or sounds angry or mentions a chargeback. It never guesses.

"Please cancel my order"

A customer asking to cancel an order is never answered automatically, in any reply mode. Noctiv never cancels an order. The conversation is marked urgent in your inbox with the order it refers to, and you are notified, so you can cancel it in Shopify yourself or write back and explain. The customer is not told it has been cancelled, because it has not been.

Disconnect

In Integrations tap Disconnect and delete token. We revoke the access at Shopify and delete it. Uninstalling the app in Shopify does the same.
